Grey Box™ Westringia is a drought tolerant native box hedge plant that can be used as a small formal hedge or as a mass planted compact shrub that will only get about double this height.
It makes a truly compact hedge, or when mass planted, a sea of little ball shaped plants. Grey Box™ Westringia is a tough plant and It’s drought tolerance is just the beginning. It handles very high salt laden windy positions, and copes well with frosts, heat and humidity. It works in full sun to part shade.
Its grey blue foliage colour contrasts nicely with its mass of white flowers. This little plant is just so tight, it makes a much better small hedge than English Box for dry climates that have limited water resources. So formal hedges no longer have to be a luxury item, the cost of water, and care just got a whole lot less.
Grey Box™ Westringia is so beautiful and so functional, and it just has to be one of the lowest maintenance plants you could put in any landscape.
