Better John, For Specimen Planting And As A Colour Contrast | Native Shrubs & Groundcovers

Better John™ Callistemon viminalis ‘LJ1’ PBR. Specimen Planting And As A Colour Contrast | Native Shrubs & Groundcovers

Better John™ - Native Shrubs and Groundcovers Range

Description

Better John™ has been bred from Little John. It’s faster to establish, easier to grow and it’s foliage colour is better, whilst keeping Little John’s excellent small height.

Flowering from mid to late spring its mature foliage is blue-grey, but due to the soft hairy texture its new growth will have a silver tone.

Better John™ grows 60cm-1.2m high x 60-90cm wide depending on conditions.

Uses

Great for specimen planting and as a colour contrast (especially with Green John).

Position

Requiring full sun to part shade it works in sandy to well drained soils. Better John™ is drought tolerant and has low to moderate frost tolerance.

Care

Water well until established and prune as required.
